Studies have shown that vaping marijuana gets you higher than smoking marijuana.

Image
Scientists have shown that  vaping  marijuana gets you higher than smoking the same amount of weed.  The new study, led by scientists at the Johns Hopkins Behavioral Pharmacology Research Unit in Baltimore, tested the effects of smoking and vaping marijuana on 17 participants.  While the participants had previously smoked marijuana, none had done in the 30 days before the study started (on average, participants had smoked once in the previous year). Throughout six 8.5-hour sessions, these participants get very, very high, and all in the name of science. The study was funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Although in full disclosure, one of the study's authors reported that he had previously received fees from or consulted for companies with ties to marijuana. Each session involved participants smoking or vaping a specified dose of marijuana which contained 0 mg, 10 mg, or 25 mg of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ...

How Many Puffs Will You Get From Your Vape Cartridge?

Image
A common question for those new to vaping is how long will your  THC or CBD  oil cartridge last?  There is no definitive answer to this question, as many factors will determine how long your particular cartridge will last.  You should consider factors such as the battery's wattage, how high the heating setting is, the viscosity of the oil or wax in the cartridge, and how long you usually inhale each time.  For these reasons, two people with similar tolerances and  vape  frequency may go through a vastly different number of cartridges over the same period.    How does the battery affect the life of the cartridge? You may not know it, but your battery can significantly affect how long your cartridges can be expected to last. Having a battery with a higher wattage shortens the life of the battery itself (which needs to be recharged more frequently) and affects the life of the cartridge. A pen with a higher wattage usually means that it wi...

Can You Freeze Cannabis?

Image
When stored correctly in the freezer,  the degradation process almost completely stops. Before you do this, however, you should know a few things. Cannabis  is at its most potent when it is dried and cured. Over time that potency degrades, especially when exposed to light and heat.  There are several methods to prevent potency degradation in cannabis. One way to do this is to store the weed in a freezer.  If you purchase a large amount of cannabis or harvest a healthy crop of homegrown cannabis, you may find yourself looking for ways to maintain its potency. Freezing your weed could be a good option.    What happens if you put cannabis in the freezer? When you freeze weed, you stop the degradation process, the process by which marijuana loses its potency. A 1999 study by researchers at the University of Mississippi found that an average of one-sixth of THC in marijuana was depleted within the first year. The potency degradation will slow in consecuti...
